Executive Summary
Love him or hate him, Jack Welch was CEO and chairman during the egression of one of the worlds most successful companies, General Electric. Whereas other competitors floundered, died, or became takeoer tar soak ups, GE forged ahead with impressive results in a wide variety of industries. That alone, is worthy of respect ( set up and Yank, 2005).
John F. Welch, junior during his 41 years at General Electric (GE) Welch bloom from his position as an entry-level junior engineer to become the companys youngest infirmity president and later its youngest CEO and chairman in 1981. end-to-end his 20 years of leading GE, Welch garnered a reputation for having a no-nonsense and dynamic style that was at times considered abrasive material by employees and the public alike.
In 1997, under the stewardship of Jack Welch, GEs stock value eclipsed US$200 cardinal while revenues hit US$90 billion and net income raised pass 7 millions mark (Figure 1)
