In todays day in years our Correctional system faces a lot of the appears that were as yet approach in olden times when the rehabilitation of prisoners consisted more of ghostlike healing then mental healing. I will make reference to the video we watch of what I believed to be a prison in California where they were so overcrowded that they were set up like fifty beds because they had completely run out of cells in the prison. Fortunately this is no longer an issue for New Yorks Rykers Island, but we must not dismiss the sheath of strain that this places not only on the rapidity but on its correctional officers.

Another issue which I mentioned briefly in the front paragraph was the fact that a lot of jails and prisons are still faced with a shortage of personnel. When one considers about the type of day that correctional officers face on a free-and-easy basis I do not think its every mystery why no one wants to do the job. unfortunately what this translates too is that detainees are not having the type of surveillance that they should have, which creates a greater opportunity for prison riots.
