In the epic poem, The Odyssey, the main character is Odysseus. Odysseus is an epic submarine sandwich who meets the epic milling machinery characteristics. The characteristics of an epic hero are; the hero is superman, the hero is the good guy, the fight between good an mephistophelian never ends, the hero gives long speeches, childhood of the hero commonly isnt known, hero picks things up quickly, the hero has a incantation object, the hero enters contests and battles, the hero fights against great odds, and fate or want is a part of the heros life. Odysseus is definitely a very strong epic hero in past literature.
Like many epic heroes, Odysseus was, in effect, what a new-fashioned day superman would be perceived as. Odysseus is basically superman. He can get out of any situation that he is put into. Whether it be a cyclops or a monster with six man-hungry heads, he can find his stylus out of it. Odysseus is also a really good guy. He loves his family, and is trying really hard to get rearwards to them. Since Odysseus is a hero, he of course has enemies that want to hurt him. Without enemies, there wouldnt be a point in being a hero. The fight between good and evil in Odysseus man never ends. There is always going to be something retentiveness him from living a completely normal life.
Even at the end of The Odyssey, Odysseus still had to go bury an oar in a place where men didnt know of the sea for the gods.
