Cause and effect thinking tells the person that by being like that they be being pragmatic. Yet this oddball of thinking can be err championous. Take for instance this scenario, a real estate magazine listed reasons why despite crime syndicate price inflation over the decades, housing is still affordable. ane of the reasons is this: Decades ago, families lived on single income. Today, families are living on double income, which means their purchasing power had change magnitude over the decades. Hence, with increased purchasing power, house price increases. Basically, the increase in the estimate of dual-income households is (one of) the cause and house price inflation is the effect.
At branch glance, this cause and effect seems logical. Is this argument the truth? We dont know, but we know that if one buy into that argument, then thats another justification for house price inflation, which depending in ones bias is good enough.
What should come to mind is a totally different thinking bolt and this thinking style is called paradoxical thinking. Paradoxical thinking is the ability to hold twain opposite ideas at the same time and still be able to function.
